Display our flag to demonstrate opposition to the "ceded" lands case

On February 25, the Supreme Court will be hearing the “ceded” lands case. The State of Hawaii is arguing that Hawaiians have no rights to those lands. MANA (Movement for Aloha No ka Aina), is calling on all supporters of Kanaka Maoli rights and sovereignty to fly or display a Hawaiian flag on February 24 and 25, the eve and day of the Supreme Court hearing on the "ceded" lands case. Fly your flag proudly! This will be a sign of our resistance to the State's attempt to dissolve our land rights, and a symbol of our unity. Spread the message far and wide – fly our flag on February 24 and 25.

    Just some mana'o i'o to share on Feb. 24 and Feb wear the Red KU I KA PONO T-Shirt, the Black MANA T-shirt or any other Hawaiian Movement T-Shirts. Ae, the Hawaiian Kindgom national flag that flew over Iolani Palace during the Monarchy was longer then the American standard size flags, including the State of Hawaii flag. United States have a standard size for all flags. If you look at the flags of Enland you'll see that their Monarchy flags are longer then the American Standard size for flags. The union jack of England is in the Hawaiian Kingdom national flag because of the relationship between England and the Hawaiian Kingdom. To have displayed the Union Jack of England in the Hawaiian Kingdom's National flag, England would have to agree to the display of their national flag in the Hawaiian Kingdom's National Flag. There is lots of international history in the history of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

    i'm not 100% sure about the "original flag" BUT the Hawaiian Kingdom's flag was not, 'oma'oma'o, 'ula'ula a me melemele. The flag that flew over 'Iolani Palace, during our Monarchy's reign, was similar to the state flag, being that it had the union jack, the stipes and the same colors BUT the dimensions were different. (something i just learned while at the march/rally on January 17, 2009). I think its 1X2.... please correct me if i am wrong. mahalo.
