Call for Volunteer Artists to Paint Kalihi Waena Wall Mural

Are you interested in painting the wall mural at Kalihi Waena Stream? Take a look a the criteria and see if you qualify:- Must be (generally) between the ages of 16 – 30- Live, Work, Play, and/or Love Kalihi- Must have a serious interest in art, developing your talents, and transforming this public space- Able to participate in 3 art workshops (July 17, 24, and 31) and painting of the wall mural the first week of AugustIf you qualify, please submit a page-long essay (handwritten or typed) about your thoughts and feelings of Kalihi and Kalihi stream. At the top of the page, indicate your name, age, address, phone number, and email address, if you have one.Please submit your essay via email to kaupa4kalihi@hawaii.rr.com, or mail to: Public Art Kalihi, PO Box 17673, Honolulu, HI 96817.Entries will be judged and notified by July 9, 2010.See you there!
