The annual "Christmas Vigil at Makua" will be held on December 27, 2008 at 4 pm at the main gate of Makua Military Reservations (MMR). This will be proceeded by an Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up beginning at 1:30pm. Following the Vigil, a potluck dinner will be shared. For more information, please call Fred Dodge at 696-4677.

    The 'Ahupua'a O Makua is Ceded Lands. Hawaiian National Lands that were ceded to the United States as a Special Trust thru the Joint Resolution of Annexation. Today there are many living claimants to the 'Ahupua'a O Makua..
