SATURDAY, October 3rd9:00 AM to 5:00 PMThis is a wonderful event for the whole family!Admission is $6 for adults and $1 for children.Come and join the Daughters of Hawai'i for local food, crafts, Haku lei, plants, seafood specialties by Chef Elmer Guzman of Poke Stop, and 'ono baked goods and preserves. All proceeds from Day at Queen Emma Summer Palace will go towards the restoration and preservation of both Queen Emma Summer Palace in Honolulu and Hulihe'e Palace in Kailua-Kona.Ticket price includes admission to the Palace, the grounds, and wonderful Hawaiian entertainment.In the cool shade of the Palace grounds, watch informal modeling presented by Mamo and enjoy day-long Hawaiian entertainment including performances by Jerry Santos, Danny Couch, the Royal Hawaiian Band, Punahou Glee Club, Kualoa, Na Kumu Hula Vicky Holt Takamine and Jeff Takamine with Halau Pua Ali‘i 'Ilima, and Kumu Hula Kula Abiva with Halau Na Kipu‘upu‘u.There will also be a Keiki Krafts Korner, and traditional native Hawaiian art demonstrations throughout the day, including: ku'i kalo (kalo and poi preparation), ku ku kapa (kapa/tapa making), lauhala weaving, quilting, and feather lei.There will also be a BEER and WINE garden on the Palace grounds.FREE PARKING!Turn on Pu'iwa Road to park on the grass in the park.
