October 08, 2009 — Performed by Te Vaka during their first ever concert at Apia Park in Western Samoa. This song was written by Opetaia Foai in memory of David McTaggert, (founder of Greenpeace), for his invaluable contribution to the Pacific and his stand against nuclear testing and other environmental issues. When asked in an interview why he did what he did in spite of continual harrassment and beatings by police etc. He replied "I am doing it for our children's children"

Aloha e hula kaua, Kaohi,
It brought tears to my eyes, after having to review the performance of Te Vaka. Opetaia Foai, who did
a Po'mai'ka'iNui performance! I am glad, Opetia and his back-up musicians are bringing into the
public venue, their way of breaking down the barriers with those who have continued to do injustices
to him and his people. This all sounds so familiar with our OWN Kanaka Maoli(s)??? If it takes music
to break-down the barriers of those culprits then, that's the way to non-violence. With Na AKUA'S
Blessings. A Hui Hou, Malama Pono:Noe'lani.
