The meaning of the two prayers.Queen Emma summoned my great grandmother Nali'ipoaimokukawahinepoaimokukaiakoiliokalani Kanaka'ole on a tour with the Queen to visit Kaua'i,Ni'ihau, and Ka'ula in the early 1870's .Naliipoai left her 4th child Ka-la-manamana (w) to live with her cousin Ka-pule-nui (k) in Manoa on Oahu..Accompanied with her was her young 19 year old cousin named Kuluwaimaka (k) . Kuluwaimaka is a decendant of the chief, Palea. He was named for the tears of the chief La'anui of Ka'u when the chief's daugther died. They joined the other family members of the halau and Keahi (w) ,Kuluwaimaka's future wife, and began to tour those islands with Queen Emma.Na'liipoai was about 30 years old and the eldest of the Hula halau. Her parents were Keli'iKanaka'ole I (k) and Kel'iiPaahana (w). When Poai was 2 years old her father died and her mother moved back home to Kama'oa Ka'u by South Point and married KaneKuhia (k) a priest of the House of Lono in Kealakekua-Kona. Poai was Kanekuhia's punahele (favorite child)Poai's mother Keli'ipaahana was the last one in our famiy buried in Halemaumau in KilaueaKuluwaimaka's chant is the first one._________________Alii KapuBorn , born is a chief of ancient lineage, of Royal Lineage, a Chief. • Pono Kealoha shot this video on Dec 26, 2008 on the grounds of Iolani Palace at the ahu. These two chants are in our family for generations and the Pule Kahea was given to me in 2006 spiritually. The strange thing is, I don't speak fluent Hawaiian and these chants I can say it many different ways.

We come from a line of High Chiefs and Kahuna's. We belong to the Pele clan.

This video, if you had seen it, had a special moment at the end, where the offering I gave fell on the ahu from the winds at the end of the chant. Where my ancestors and KeAkua accepted it.

That night Kanehikili struck the power plant on Oahu and the lights were out all night on Dec 26, 2008.

I did not delete this video. Pono Kealoha did. Therefore, no one will ever see this again. It is Kapu.

No one is authorized to see it, and use it for any purpose.

    Aloha no,
