The first time I heard IZ & The Makaha Sonssing this mele, was 1988.It made me stop and think...still does to this day.In 1988, Because of the mele, I looked up the translation of the Hawaiian Words they sang in it."Ua Mau Ke E'A OKa Aina, I Ka Pono": "The Life Of The Land, Is Preserved in Righteousness."Bless the memory of IZ, may he rest in peace, and mahalo to him for his insights he gave to us.
