Aloha mai kākou!

What is UnKau I Noa? UnKau I Noa is an attempt to unite those who do not agree with how the project that is "Kau Inoa" is being handled. For some, Kau Inoa was a chance to receive a free shirt. For others it was the illusion that providing your explicit consent to this cause was to build a new nation. Yet, for others, Kau Inoa was that commercial you saw. The one with the singer who said "sign up....JUST BECAUSE!!!"

For most, however, Kau Inoa has caused a severe case of confusion. After repeated inquiries, it has never been made clear what Kau Inoa's plan of action is in order to obtain this new nation. But! By consenting and "Kau"-ing your inoa, you've given them support for whatever that action is--may it be something as simple as implementing community based "town-hall" style meetings in order to hear from our community, or may it be something as severe as implementing the heavily flawed Akaka Bill.

What's that? You don't support the Akaka Bill? Well, IF that is their plan to create the new government, your name on that list does support it...

This is where UnKau I Noa comes in. Those of us who came up with this idea originally signed up for the shirt, or because it sounded like a good idea. Now...not so much. So we researched. How does one "UnKau" their inoa? After emails and telephone calls, we found that calling the number in the below logo--(808) 394-0050--solved our problem.

By calling this number, you are contacting Hawai'i Maoli, the group responsible for maintaining the database of names. Ask them how you can remove your name from the database, and they will instruct you to write a letter. ASK FOR THE ADDRESS.

Then, **BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR LETTER**, we highly suggest you make a copy, should your letter be "lost" in the all this confusion!

Hopefully, if we as a community show that we don't support this, we may be able to truly unite and find a solution that EVERYONE can agree on.

**For those of you who are confused, "I NOA" is not spelled incorrectly. Kau Inoa means to "place your name" (IN POOR GRAMMAR AS A MATTER OF FACT--PROPER GRAMMAR DICTATES "KĀKAU I KOU INOA), but Unkau I Noa means "UnKau so that we are FREE." Yes, it is a play on the word inoa. Yes, we are that clever.

Mahalo! UnKau I Noa!!!!

The Kau Inoa "registration" was supposed to be JUST a list of kanaka maoli for organizing...and it was told to all who registered that it does not mean that you support the akaka bill. In fact..the registration was supposed to be UNDER the Hawaiian Civic Clubs and the list was NOT supposed to be supplied ot OHA. They lied. I recently went to a public hearing at the state capitol and heard with my own ears Clyde Namu'o say...that we have more than 100,000 names to push forward our nation through the Kau Inoa registration. We will be posting that video on this site soon so you can see for yourself. During Colin Kippen's attempt to unseat Haunani Aploliona in the last OHA election, he had a press conference saying that OHA had confirmed that they were NOT using the Kau Inoa registration to push the Akaka Bill. Well...they lied. That is exactly what the purpose was. Soon you can see for yourself how we are all being lied to (and we are funding it with our inheritance by the way to add insult to injury) in order to push the State of OHA's agenda.
Shame on you guys for tricking your own people into signing a deceptive campaign which would in effect have all Kanaka Maoli "sign off" on all their future inheritance and waiver all future land claims. Shame on you OHA.

Aloha...
My husband and I went to a seminar today at Nanakuli High School. It was very interesting to find out a lot about the Hawaiian Kingdom, who and what was behind everything. There is a site where everyone can go to. It' s from David-Wynn Miller, who was the guest speaker at the seminar. He talked a lot about what he did and what is going to be done. Here is the site where you should visit and find out more: www.dwmlc.com...
Check it out and read about it...It's very interesting...
Well Mahaloz and Aloha...
