It must be family. My grandfather said anyone with the name Keaweehu is a relative. Keaweehu is defined as those from Moku O Keawe from the big island and ehu because most of the babies were born with reddish or blonde hair.
You live in Arizona? My grandfather Elvin Kaiakapu son of James Pua Keaweehu has a brother who lived in Arizona. I met him once when I was little. He to Hanapepe, Kauai for a family reunion.
Aloha from Arizona! My mother, Helen Catherine Kauhini Boyce, was born and raised in Honolulu. Our Hawaiian ancestral lines include Kauhini, Aheong, Silva, Achuck, Keaweehu (Kauai), and Kaheleula (Kauai). I have been doing genealogy for 10 years and would like to hear from Hawaiian ohana, hopefully attend a Kauhini or Keaweehu family reunion someday. Feel free to contact me!
