Eh cousin...yes I have had the family reunion at the back of my mind lately. I have been super busy in keeping the movement going in exercising my independence.
Working with a couple of different groups of students too running a Wahi Pana Projevct on the north shore, and now working at the new charter school here on Kauai, Kawaikini.
It's hard work, but keeping me quite busy on top of all the other stuff I have been doing with the kalo, the iwi kupuna issues, and other stuff. I hope all is well with you my lovely cousin.
You should plan to come over for a weekend, and we can just spend the weekend planning and running around to different places to put the family reunion together and make it pa'a. Let me know what you think.
I really want the reunion to be an educational event for our ohana. Like do mea no'eau, hula, kanikapila, as well as educating our ohana on things like mo'okuauhau, kuleana lands and title searches, and knowing our rights as kanaka in our great nation of Hawaii. And ofcourse PA'INA!!!
