Kaia from Oahu? Or Maui? We go the Kaea/Kaia from Maui on our side. My family actually comes from Huelo-Peahi-Keanae-Hana areas and another branch (Bush) comes from Hookena/Kealia in Kona.
The dudoits I have are of course incomplete. My cousin kept on saying to ask her aunty midgie for info. I no like do that. lol I dunno if she'd be willing to share that w/ me but next time i see her, I'll mention it. I started off by doing my cousins's other side, like Dorie them, my Sanchez and Keahi cousins who are Dudoits, my Smith cousins (Domingo/Smith) and that's how I began branching into other families. I also worked on my older brother's side, his father is Teddy Reyes so i have some of their info, some of their Hawn. side going back to Lahaina and someone way back when married into the Naki family. I saw how the Pali and...I think the Puaa are of the same branch. Can't remember, but it goes way back. Pretty interesting. i told my classmate Nahula (Duvauchelle) Kapuni that we have to keep track, unless she wants her kids to marry cousins. lol I told her we should start a historic society for Molokai. You can participate too now that I'm telling you. hahaha
Shutting down groups? Not yet. lol Nah, I thought it was censored, but turns out that the original poster must've deleted everything. On youtube however, I banned people from commenting on my video, mostly arguing w/ samoans and them telling us that our ancestors were samoan and same w/ the maoris. lol
Dorie has been very good at helping me out w/ some details on our famiy reunion. i told her that I could give her some pointers or whatever on their Poaha clan b/c I researched that side of hers plus her paternal grandfather's side, the chinese side. And yes, the research I have goes way back. The Dudoit side, goes prior to Jules D. who landed in the islands in the early to mid 1800s, plus i have some Duvauchelle, no Bishaws yet really, some other families of Kona, Lahaina...going back to Wakea and Papa. I have just entered 10,000+ names as of March I think, maybe April I hit 10,000. So that's a lot of names I entered. Your side too is in there, the Joaos. :)
Odd, I thought about you this past weekend, I think I was going through myspace and was wondering how come you neva come to maoliworld since I posted the link. lol So I figured you were busy. But see, got a discussion in my own blog, the mookuauhau forum was awesome, talked about the Dudoit family, etc. This is a good place.
