To follow is a letter I sent today to the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation concerning Quiet Title Actions. As Uncle once told me: "Live by palapala, die by palapala!"Aloha Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation:Your efforts to assist Native Hawaiians are applauded and greatly appreciated. I do have a question. While you provide assistance in the defense of Quiet Title Actions, why are you not offering to represent Kanaka Maoli in the prosecution of Quiet Title Actions to seek return of their land? There are so many documented cases where Quiet Title Actions have been improperly used used against Native Hawaiians to convert their aina. Universally in those actions, the chain of titles are corrupted. Isn't it time to turn the tables and use this mechanism, which is rarely used outside of Hawai'i Nei, to return the aina to its rightful owners? Pono e pono.Mahalo for allowing me to share my mana'o.We are the people we've been waiting for!Malama pono,Aloha Ke Akua,J. D'Alba
