Now that the Hawai`i fake state Akaka bill has passed, all eyes turn toward the next steps - the appointment of five commissioners and the Native Hawaiian Roll.

It hasnʻt been lost on a lot of people that the Office of Hawaiian Affairs will attempt to play a prominent roll in this process.

As a matter of fact, they have something already sitting on their shelf, ready to go that they no doubt will try to insert in the process to stack the deck in their own favor.

What might that be? Tune in this Wednesday and weʻll tell you all about it on Free Hawai`i TV.

We have three inspiring activists this week who give us an inside look into their own work creating a brighter future for Hawai`i.

Join Hale, Kuhio and Summer for a dose of inspiration and whatʻs ahead for us all this weekon Hawai`i’s award winning

  • The native Hawaiian roll was opposed by the Hawaiian Homesteaders in the 70s when it was first proposed at the legislature.  So they agreed in 1979 for a voters roll.  We knew then it was to steal the revenues and make it legit to give to non Hawaiians DHHL 200,000 acres.  We couldn't stop them, but I feel that the roll will cause havoc within our homes.  Rolls are held tightly by geneologist and the science communities.
