The 38th convening of the Hawaiian Kingdom LHG Manakau Kanawai legislative body took place January 11-13, 2013 on the Mokupuni o Hawai’i o Keawe, at the Keli’iho’omalu family compound, at Kaimu.

Legislators from all Islands began flying into Hilo during the day Friday and enjoyed a dinner meeting with Prime Minister Henry Noa at which time he discussed the focus of this session.

The Hawai’i caucus in general and the Districts 1-Puna and 2-Hilo worked in partnership with the O’ahu food service specialists Uncle Allen and Auntie Bernice Cardines to provide great tasting and opu filling meals throughout the weekend.  A big Mahalo is in order going out to all who donated, contributed, worked and assisted.  Many can serve the government of their own choosing in their own ways.

The weather, which had been forecasted to be stormy, was perfect and teamed up with the natural beauty of the Kalapana area to make this gathering of the government special, we were truly blessed by the Akua.

Kekane Pa was again nominated and approved as the Speaker of the Manakau Kanawai and accepted resignations of legislators unable to fulfill their obligations and swore in new legislators who felt the calling to serve their islands.

The Prime Minister presented the current status of our combined efforts to press for our lawful reclamation of our sovereign political management and control authority over our own country.  Mr. Noa reminded us of the O’ahu convening of the protem government to lawfully re-manifest the bonafide and sovereign body politic of, by and for, the Kanaka Maoli aboriginal and indigenous Hawaiian Nation on March 13th, 1999, something none of the other independence proponents of Hawaiian sovereignty can claim or prove.

P.M. Noa addressed the subject of the Kaho’olawe reclamation Government Approved Exercise as a graphic example of the United States and the State of Hawaii governments being able to take a case of Native Hawaiians exercising their perfect human rights and hiding the proceedings in their own State Supreme Court of Appeals for as long as they want, which has been since 2008.

Also addressed was the fact that in 2008 another Government Approved Exercise, citizens were formally identified with licensing issued by their own chosen Sovereign Native Hawaiian government of their own choosing and allowed to exercise their basic perfect human right to travel in their own vehicles, on their own islands, on their own roads, certified by their own government.  The conflict with the fraudulent State of Hawaii laws and those of their illegally constructed County governments was inevitable and has allowed certain of our citizens to voluntarily take their citations into courtrooms, and stand in contempt and protest before judges controlled and paid for by an entity which the defendant believes to be fraudulent, illegal, and in improper jurisdiction over them, charging them with misdemeanors and crimes that are not relevant subject matter with regards to that lack of jurisdiction.

The State of Hawaii employed courts have been directed, as best we know, to completely ignore and dis-allow all Hawaiian Sovereignty and Human Rights claims, so much for reconciliation as promised by 103-150.

The Prime Minister announced that the focus of this Manakau Kanawai was to act on resolution 12-0084 which allowed for the LHG Hawaiian Kingdom government to assign leases of public land for house lots.  Due to Tutu Pele providing newlands at Kalapana/Kaimu for the use of her descendants, the Prime Minister Commissioned Noble Robert Keli’iho’omalu as Konohiki to select the first 10 awardees to a platted section there adjacent to his land as a Government Approved Exercise which may again bring us into conflict with the usurpers in a controlled, legal and peaceful action.  The benefit of this action is without a doubt, very strong and very pertinent insofar as so many of the homeless today are Kanaka Maoli Aboriginal Indigenous Native Hawaiians.

In votes of the legislative body, the time sensitive resolutions which were on the record books as of the last session were approved and up-dated without amendments or changes for 2013.

Additionally, new resolutions were debated and passed regarding the following issues:

13-0085 – To Take Possession Of All Open Probates Relating To Land Title, Real and Chattel Properties, and Lease Issues Prior to and including all of the Year 2013.

13-0086 – To Establish An Interim Postal Service and Postal Offices.

13-0087 – To Establish Registry Books for Land Leases, House Lots, Transfers of Land to the Hawaiian Government, and etc.

13-0088 – To Authorize the Establishment of a Foreign Trade Zone Designation on Kingdom of Hawaii Commercial Properties For The Purpose Of Attracting Business and For Economic Development Investment Through The Provision Of Business Incentives and Employment Opportunities for the Kanaka Maoli People.

Saturday ended with there only being enough time for an open microphone session for the gallery and individual legislators making informal comment.  We had a great lunch and need to send out a warm Mahalo a Nui Loa to Butch and Skippy for playing heartfelt music which has become a familiar part of our convenings.  A fine dinner was provided Saturday night, more music, and the movie, ”A Voice for Sovereignty” was presented.

On Sunday, we gathered for a formal ceremony assigning ten 20,000 sq. ft. house lots on the pahoehoe papa named Kauhale o Kaimu.  These Kanaka Maoli were reminded that this was truly an exercise of our Human Rights which might bring them all into direct confrontation with the fraudulent State of Hawaii and the United States of America.  They were warned that all they might construct or erect might be lost during this exercise of their perfect rights.   Seven of the 10 transfers were legally and formally recorded, witnessed, and notarized by the Minister of the Interior as dictated by Commissioner Keli’iho’omalu and Prime Minister Noa.

A Skype connection with the woman who created the video “ A Voice for Sovereignty” was made and best wishes shared.  A European two-man team recorded the proceedings and individual interviews for world-wide distribution.  We can only hope that our efforts serve to attract more and more of our family members and community members to a Sovereign Aboriginal Indigenous Native Hawaiian Government of their own choosing as is their perfect Human Right.  Mahalo to all the Legislators and Ministers who self-funded their attendance at this humble grass-roots effort and to all of those who came from around the pae’aina archipelago to show their moral as well as financial support for a very noble and righteous cause.
