a Plan to propose transition of Pa'ia elementary school into an entirely Hawaiian speaking, immersion site. the first meeting was hosted by Na Leo pulama and Na Leo Kako'o o Maui ..meeting organizers say that as interest in Hawaiian Immersion education continues to grow, "the need for an entirely immersion school has become apparent"...bottom-line we going need a bigger school to fit future Hawaiian Language speakers..and Pa"ia English speaking students will be surpassed, but we not trying to kick them or anybody out of the school..Pa'ia school in general is the Host school for our Hawaiian immersion program..oventually immersion will be full over capacity and we cannot have a threat of LOTTERY for our kids future..i for one do not like gambling with my kids education like that.. I know the English speaking schools do not have a lottery for their students ..so why Hawaiian schools or programs have that??
