"With the adidas france anniversary coming to a close very soon, the brand has invited a number of new guests to dress up the silhouette. Releasing in only about a day’s time, Footshop’s collaborative rendition sees the classic dressed up in a fashion uncharacteristic, its most signature elements warped to bear hiking influences and indigo-dyed traditional patterns.
Nike has kept the classical nike chaussure on a busy schedule all-year round, and rightfully so considering that 2020 marks the model’s 30th birthday. Through October the silhouette has been revealed through collaborative projects, colorways both modern and retro alike, and has even undergone an attempted name switch by the Swoosh team to its original moniker of the Air Max III. Much like the Doraemon-inspired snkrsstrike.com that released last month, this rendition alternates its upper overlays between similar “Photo Blue” and “University Red” accents; only it falls just a tad bit short in exact color schemes related to the fictional anime figure as it is lacking any yellow notes. Other details to point out on this pair include that of the remixed tongue logos and footbed graphics, both of which are done up with a 3D-inspired look. Scroll further down to check out more photos, and note that they will be dropping likely within the coming weeks on Nike.com.
Since launching in the 1970s, the go there has become one of the best-selling sneakers within the casual space thanks in larger part to an exclusive partnership with J. Crew. Although the American retailer still caries the tennis-inspired silhouette, the Swoosh has begun directly selling the model to consumers. In this transition, it’s brought back the original Killshot, seen here in a versatile “Beige/Black” colorway."
