OHA Survey... 31 YEARS LATE LOL

For my family and friends who like KNOW:

I rec'd an email from a former classmate asking us to fill out this survey from OHA:"OHA in is the process of revising its Strategic Plan and as part of this process we have prepared a short survey questionnaire asking for input from all Hawaiians. It was printed in the March edition of the OHA newspaper, Ka Wai Ola and is also available electronically at our website:http://www.oha.org/survey/0903stratplan.php"I filled it out. Feel free to fill it out too. Some questions I answered with "-" [a dash] because some things are none of other people's business. I also didn't place my zip code though knowing how SNEAKY some people are over there they have IP tracers tracing people who submit their data. Nothing is sacred to some of them I swear. A few are cool though as in they bow down to our kupuna instead of to the dollar.Well feel free to fill it out online though it is 31 YEARS LATE:http://www.oha.org/survey/0903stratplan.phpIMHO they should be asking us EVERY DAY for our input. Encourage us to CALL. Let us know that the offices are OPEN and stress that they encourage an OPEN DOOR POLICY.. and FULL DISCLOSURE but nope! Some of them epitomize how some people have power and end up abusing it. Darn POWER TRIPS. Of course eventually they die but still they have the lives of other Hawaiians in the hands. Look at how some of them treat other Hawaiians. Aue! BTW I serve as a Board of Director on a board and helped to recall and replace a jerk who eventually died unexpectedly but I know how some people can have power trips. Some even act as though they walk on water LOLAnyway I answered the questions with both "worse off" and 'worse off." Just FYI. If I could I would have all of them recalled then replaced for failure to do their job and for making some Hawaiians jump through hoops or in some cases... watching as other Hawaiians DROWN. Typical O'ahu makaewaewa by the way and yes I was born on O'ahu but not ALL O'ahuans are rude and SELFISH lidat! ANYWAY LOL... if I could I would recall all of them then replace them with a few who are there and who are right on. The rest... they need to go!Latahs!!!

Well, if they truly feel they did something worthwhile in the past year, let me think on this one. Despite pushing KAU INOA and spending millions, what about housing crisis for Native Hawaiians? Gee, what a slap in our face on how they spend monies!

A former classmate of mine asked us to and that is the only reason why I responded... out of respect for him and cool oiwi like him. You know how I feel about OHA rwaarrrr! LOL

Yeah I don't see it as doing anything at all. Will it change our lives? No... but because a former classmate who works there now asked out class to fill it out... I did. He is one of the cool ones :)

I didn't answer it, but reviewed the questions on the survey. Other than what they asked, it may seek other information on population count and views from the po'e. Don't be surprise that the survey seeks other information other than stated.

Thanks for posting this and I'm there with you on your thoughts on the matter. I did the survey before reading the rest of your letter. Although, I didn't have high hopes filling the survey would help...but I did for the hell of it...and I filled out "worse off" on all.. Aloha is what they don't have...Your so right that they should be constantly asking us for our opinion but no can...they had to make a vague, stupid survey. but anyway, I going tell my husband to fill it out too..thanks...
