Latest plus some pics of Aloha Week

For my family and friends who like KNOW:

I posted the latest article written about my paternal grandmother in the Honolulu Advertiser at my Facebook. I am so embarrassed... though not of my family. Just of some of them like Boyd LOLBoth of my parents are oiwi and while my paternal grandfather descends from N___e through K____e via K____________, Boyd is related through my paternal grandmother's line. It's bad to say but I wish I was not related to Boyd so I NOT going post pics of my paternal grandmother who sometimes attends "Ali'i Sunday" LOL In fact just recently someone who is notable in Hawai'i asked me if I was related to so-and-so. The person was actually asking me about my paternal grandmother LOLI should hyphenate my name... but I won't.Anyway I FINALLY found a copy of Arthur Mann's "Government in Hawaii" (1949) as I collect anything Hawaiian for my library collection and I have an extensive Hawaiian collection LOL I even have a copy of Fornander's books even though some of it is really inaccurate LOL Well this one has pictures so of course it pissed me off seeing this picture because this picture shows the face of someone who is disrespectful and instead of doing the right thing... they made any kine which adversely affected people's lives:

I have my own Hawaiiana collection so I got it. That and Professor Mackenzie's "Native Hawaiian Rights Handbook" as they do not teach this in Florida (LOL) I gotta say though that Florida is great because of the Seminoles. They really kick butt and the state government respect them because the Seminoles EXPECT and DEMAND that they BE respected so in that sense I love the Seminoles and how they relate to the local, state, and federal governments. So when I read what I read (LOL) I compare and contrast primarily with the Seminoles.I may post pics of my reading room. I also have a library of books along a wall in my livingroom. Not sure if I will ever post pics of my book collection though. Some people ask me why I bother reading so many books. (I just pau reading yet another one last night.) Well to me it's important to know the theory so that I can throw it back... in their face LOL It makes me laugh. Kalani once told me that he notices that about me. One thing that annoys me though are those times when some people say that I look like a senator's wife. I don't know why they tell me that because I do NOT look like a senator's wife. To me that is an INSULT LOLOkay more pictures... of Aloha Week. I do not care for concrete or pavement but here are some pics:I know that some people look down on public schools but before I attended Kamehameha Schools... I attended public schools like Liholiho Elementary School and Lili'uokalani Elementary School so I like seeing public school students making it:

I gotta say that if I could choose teachers for my keiki (LOL) one of them would be HER because to me she is beautiful and seems to be a caring teacher which is rare in Hawai'i:

Ironically before I attended Kamehameha Schools I attended Liholiho Elementary School and Lili'uokalani Elementary School and some teachers at Lili'uokalani Elementary told my mom that I had to stop speaking pidgin which I picked up in Keaukaha. They told my mother that I had to speak standard American diction. Ironically pidgin is better because it is a synthesis of languages which helped people work TOGETHER but no... those pseudo-intellectuals wanted to make any kine LOL (I still speak pidgin. I do not care what some pseudo-intellectuals say LOL) By the way when I attended Star of the Sea School some people there were mean so NO OFFENSE but I have an aversion to some Catholics too because they claimed to be like Christ yet were anything but.

I love this picture because 1) Purple is my favorite color like my truck and 2) I think she is so pretty!

In the mean time I forgot to add to this part LOL... but I am still studying for a huge exam in December. It is not easy. Then I have another one in February. Granted... some people think it's so easy but it's not. I read material at least three times to fully absorb the material so no it is not easy. For me anyway LOL I researched pass rates and it is about 81%. Plus I read other books. It's extremely tough for me but I know that I will do fine. However long it takes me LOLLatahs!!!

  • I like my extensive Hawaiiana collection too plus binders & binders of stuff I printed. But now, my bookshelf getting all messy again. I printed a lot of stuff, old books/documents that are in digitized form, bound them & now they're on my shelf too. I love my bilingual & probably some inaccurate Fornander books too. lol J'adore toutes les livres que les j'ai! Screw the spelling. lol
