Aloha Kakou;Be Alert!We, the Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club needs everyones Kokua, maintenance assistants, restoration crew, and a preservation group to continue Hawaiian Cultural Awareness. Why do we need to malama our Historical Land Sights? If we don't maintain and monitor the many Sacred Land Sights, our Marshes, our ponds, our canals, our streams, our water falls, our mountains, our hills, our beaches, our little islands off shore, the bays around the Islands, and Historical Land Marks we will loose them to Real Estate and Commercial Industry. Everyone who has concerns for our environment and these valuable land sights are most Welcomed to join the Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club in its sincere mission.Individuals who become a member of the Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club will help us continue our many task. We are a Volunteered Concerned Group of individuals who maintain our Ahupuaa, set up educational and training programs, docents of the Ulupo Heiau Lo'i Botanical Gardens, Hawaiian Cultural Practitioners to the Community, fundraisers for Scholarship Programs for those who seek Higher Education, Participates in a variety of Community Events, and supporters in the multiple Out Reach Programs for Families in Need.Our monthly meetings are scheduled every 3rd Tuesday of Everymonth at the Windward YMCA, 1200 Kailua Road, Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii 96734, from 6:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. in the Club Room. We begin with our famous Pot Luck Social Hour with new members and special guests, to proceed with Guest Speakers, and then the Board of Directors and General membership business and announcements. We also begin to form our Committees for all the Events to be scheduled.
