For my family and friends who going spock dis out (because I know they like KNOW)because I went on a posting hiatus in many of my blogs for MY causes and what I believe in while dedicating ALL of it to ALL of the descendants of Wakea, Papa, and Haloa ONLY to be criticized for either my looks and/or my mana'o LOL Some people even had an attitude of, "Who does she think she is????" I am my kupuna-s' mo'opuna das who LOL Yes... it amuses me. However one of my goals is to help pay for tuition for some LESS fortunate Hawaiians to finish law school so that they can help protect other oiwi after I make. I MUST do this BEFORE I make. Make sense? LOL So I am on a temporary posting hiatus and work on them when I can.If I could tell my nieces and nephew one thing that is that land is an appreciable asset and that some people ARE running them over and will continue to run them over in order to get it.Fortunately I told my 13 year old niece as well as my 17 year old niece. I KNOW that they will remember. When I die I know that they will remember everything that I told them LOLSome people ask me why I tell my nieces that. They think it is too much for a child to know. Is the truth too much for a child to know if it materially affects the VALUE of THEIR LIFE and the quality of THEIR life??? LOL I don't think so plus I do explain it in an age appropriate way. They know who they are. IMHO they also need to know that people are trying to run THEM over. That way they will be more aware.IMHO we should be teaching that to every oiwi child. As well as telling them that they can be WHATEVER they want to be. No limits... because to limit them is to limit OUR kupuna. Yeah if you think about it... I state the obvious LOLOkay more pics:When my twin sister and I were babies:Of course these days my hair has blondish highlights. Yes I get ALOT of flack for that. Obviously I do NOT listen to the NEGATIVE people LOL (I ONLY listen to my kupuna. Das it!) To limit us is to limit our KUPUNA. Unfortunately some people are SO negative about our potential. It shows me that they WANT to limit our kupuna. Someone's choice of making a living does NOT correlate with these oiwi slapping their kupuna in their face and/or stepping on their bones. It's too bad that the FEW pilau ruin it for the rest but they do NOT correlate. It depends on the roots and if and HOW the roots have been nurtured. One way to find out how the shoot is is to go to the root. Instead some people conflate ANYTHING haole to mean "s/he slaps their kupuna in their face and/or steps on his or her kupunas' bones." They are NOT mutually exclusive! Some books that I recently bought at a thrift store for either 99 cents or $1.99 each:Whenever I go to a thrift store (which is one of the things that I enjoy) I look for books that are interesting. The "new" leather couch that I bought from the hospice thrift store where its proceeds go towards paying for hospice care for those less fortunate:It was $280.My "new" leather reading chair that I bought from the hospice thrift store:The flash washed out the color but it's the same shade as the couch. It was $80 and yes it is VERY comfortable LOL It's like one of those sofas at Borders as in VERY comfortable.Latahs!!
