We went cruising in the ocean and on the trails of the islands, to go on excursions and see the lush forest of the island, and the different seabirds there. Indeed, and one evening, when the 'awa was made, large manta rays came right up to shore near Hokule'a's mooring, and folks got in the water to be right in among them, and the first cup of 'awa from each bowl went to Kanaloa in his manta-ray kino.
