Hōkūleʻa ma Palamila

Eia kekahi mau kii o Palamila mai na holoholo nei:Last night, I returned to Oʻahu nei with some of the crew of the voyage down from Hawaii to Palmyra. We went cruising in the ocean and on the trails of the islands, to go on excursions and see the lush forest of the island, and the different seabirds there. Here are a few pictures of Palmyra from that cruising around.

  • Indeed, and one evening, when the 'awa was made, large manta rays came right up to shore near Hokule'a's mooring, and folks got in the water to be right in among them, and the first cup of 'awa from each bowl went to Kanaloa in his manta-ray kino.
  • Mahalo for sharing the beautiful pictures of the island. Hokule'a seems so much at home in the tranquil seas of her lagoon.
