Happy Birthday to Queen Lili'uokalani of Hawai'i

For my ohana and hoaaloha

It is September 2nd on the East Coast.

Happy birthday to Queen Lili'uokalani. Happy birthday to one of the strongest women ever and a role model to many!

My inoa kupuna is Ululani which is one of her ancestresses on her MATERNAL side.

Happyhappy birthday to the Queen!

Long live the HAWAIIAN KINGDOM.

By the way I was in Delaware and Philadelphia. I was in downtown Wilmington, Delaware on August 22nd, two days after they strong armed the people and made Hawai'i a "state" and continue to call it the "State of Hawai'i" except the treaty of annexation was not ratified.

BTW Delaware is the first state. He hoailona.

Was on the Market Street bridge where Harriet Tubman helped free 300+ slaves by hiding them near that bridge. There is a park named after her. It's called the Tubman Garrett River Front Park named in honor of Harriet Tubman and Thomas Garrett who helped free slaves in Delaware despite her having a bounty on her head:

It is an AMAZING place... where Harriet Tubman, her name, efforts, and contributions to society are respected and HONORED.

Unfortunately some people bring disgrace to Queen Lili'uokalani's name, efforts, AND contributions to her people. Some disparage her name when she is not here to defend herself. Today is her birthday. Those people should take today to shut up. If it wasn't for the queen... we would not be there so please take the time today to shut the hell up. Oh and those who say they are a servant to Queen Lili'uokalani... then turn around and act like assholes to another Hawaiian or other Hawaiians. Tsaaa!!! Rip... no lip!!!

Happy birthday to the HONORABLE Queen Lili'uokalani who did the best she could under extreme duress!!! She was ahead of her time having gotten HER STORY in writing http://digital.library.upenn.edu/women/liliuokalani/hawaii/hawaii.html An amazingly brilliant and STRONG HAWAIIAN woman. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Thank you for the gift of life.

  • Aloha Ululani,

I wish to hell we could shut up and take a rest today. A bit tired. Today DHHL is having a meeting unattended cause the meeting is 10 am will cause major 'forclosures' on DHHL. Tonight Nanakuli has a neighborhood meeting, we will be in attendance to entice the public to come to the Sept 9, meeting to stop DU and all else from being trucked into Waianae. We are loosing our lives, our air quality and our ag land to military housing at fee simple.

Like you, I wish I could revere this day, just as I have done since 1992 when I was looking for the original song of Aloha Oe, I found her list of birthday invites written in her own handwriting.

On Sept 2, a few years back the Governor used this day to sign into law 'ripping' out the right of Na Kanaka to access the shores with his throw net. Nets need to be registered, we have no more 'holoholo' just pole fishing because nets need to be registered or confiscated.

Tane's in the hospital and will be operated on today.

I wish I could shut the hell up, rest, and just meditate on her love for aina, her people and their ancestors.

Have a nice day for all of us--cause we need it!
