I don't know about why anyone would settle for 200 million owed to OHA! That is a ridiculous amount and HEWA for Mr. Hee ever to suggest to Mele Caroll, "take it or leave." I shook my head side to side! I wouldn't settle for that amount. They owe KANAKA MAOLI more monies all these years they didn't pay yet!If a Hawaiian did that and dragged it for thirty years or so, guess what they going "chain you too!"I have to give Mele Carroll a "hands up." Mele is more sensitive about the issues that impact kanaka maoli. I've heard her in hearings and ask good questions, make clarifications and answers questions. It is a difficult task, but what is it about her that "sparks an interest." Perhaps her attitude and the way she upholds herself pressured by all sides.
