  • Words can't say it enough...your songs provoke action and attention to our struggle. I believe it is part of all our responsibility to make sure these words are heard by the masses. You could very well be the sound of our movement...the voice of our people...'Onipa'a!!!
  • I just sent Keala Kelly to your site. We will be talking today about doing a showing of NOHO HEWA in Wai'anae....after all. I guess I planted a seed that is now growing. I told her that Wai'anae is our hope...
so proud of you and others coming forward...
    aloha you,
    Donna
  • Ever thought about doing a promotion with sauces? Spice up the moment! Let me know. Can help pay for some expenses!
  • hey, the main purpose is to send a message and you do it well from music! No worry, I listen to you tunes at your page with my daughters. I have it on my page too. The more I listen, the stronger the MANA! I saw a blog by Tane of events. Perhaps you can take a look and find useful information in there to use.

    LOL
  • 'anake, the above lyrics is from a song that i wrote and recorded. so i give myself permission to alter it a bit to fit the current situation. i dont have any cd's right now or i'd send you one.... still waiting on my record label to send me more promo cd's. my 1st cd, with my song "couldn't take the mana" is only available on itunes and the 2nd one is on the shelves.
  • Yes, similar message. Perhaps with changing or adding to make it an original unless talk to the artist to add AKAKA BILL in there. The po'e, specifically the younger generation will benefit from hearing what the impact of the AKAKA BILL will have on everyone. Remember, we are not a tribe - never was and never will be! Tune it with music they like to rock too - with MANA!
  • aloha mana, my old friend you have oli the words right out of my mouth. I only hope all other kanaka see it the same way.
aloha keline,Hawaiian Kingdom Government , Iolani hale
  • As i was listening to this track and typing the words out, it got my thinking about how this song is right on the money as far as the AKAKA BILL is concerned. The AKAKA BILL is trying to not only take away our freedom, but our very right to fight for that freedom. Today, we as Kanaka Maoli, we do not have our freedom. Imagine having to give up the very right to fight for that freedom? How is this even legal? You don't see them coming up with any new laws/bill making other races give up their right to stand up and fight..... just plain hewa.
