  • At Keeau's yesterday, I listended to Mr. Raposa for almost five hours about his Kuleana to his area of abode .  A maka'aninana fisherman always ask Ke Akua in prayer did I do right by their ancestors--it is a reflection and evaluation that they all go through on a daily bases.  The other fishermen at Keeau's crown lands are also too, are asking themselves the same questions. We are viewing not just the ocean, but too the aerial photo's of the Mauka side.  Buffalo Keaulana said that you 'auau' and the water use also waters the plants.  And if one visit's the houseless at Keeau's one would see the different plant's in pots that was watered by 'au au' water.  Keep in mind all water are trucked or carried into these locations at Keeau.  Water is diverted to Central Oahu and they do fight for every drop of water.  That's another story.  At Keeau's crown lands several 'iwi' where I was sitting for five hours were removed by the state.  Most of the people at Keeau's was born and raised in Waianae.  None went to college so most talk come from the mouths of their grandparents and they inturn came from their grandparents.  So, I am listening to a hundred years of mano.
