Is There Any Doubt Left The Superferry Is A Military Vehicle?
HONOLULU -- Retired US Admiral Thomas B. Fargo will replace John Garibaldi next week as president and chief executive officer of Hawai`i Superferry Inc., the company announced.
Fargo's appointment takes effect on Monday.
Fargo served as both the commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, the nation's largest military command, from 1999 to 2002, and as commander-in-chief of the US Pacific Fleet. He then retired after 35 years with the Navy.
He serves as a managing director of J.F. Lehman & Co., the majority investor in Hawai`i Superferry. It was founded in 1992 by John Lehman, who served as secretary of the Navy from 1981 to 1987.
Garibaldi will become vice chairman of Hawai`i Superferry and serve on its board of directors.
