The "state" of Hawai'i is trying to ban Hawaiians from the 'Iolani Palace... which epitomizes how they want to ban us from Hawai'i because they want to get rid of us so that they can have the land and
For my family and friends (who understand me and respect my choices irrelevant if they agree with me or not):
Trust is VERY important to me and once again some people are BETRAYINGOUR TRUST US. It's not just the "state" of Hawai'i. It's also those single agents who have a fiduciary duty to US... to PROTECT us and our interests. They are to be OBEDIENT to us yet they FAIL to LISTEN TO US. They are FAILING US. If this happened in FLORIDA or MARYLAND... their ass would be GRASS!
Everyone who knows me knows that
1) I explicitly state my nationalities on all forms, licensing, etc as Hawaiian AND American by nationality. I DO NOT CARE IF OTHER PEOPLE OR THE FEDS RECOGNIZE THE HAWAIIAN KINGDOM OR NOT. The Hawaiian Kingdom exists IRRELEVANT what greedy, money hungry, appreciation-of-land obsessed people mistakenly think and IRRELEVANT if people RESPECT MY CHOICE... or not.
2) I am a registered Republican and "own" some land in Hilo. Notice that I use "own" in parentheses because much of the land in Hawai'i have encumbrances on it but I "own" land in Hilo because I am a legal heir to my Hilo Grandma and Hilo Grandpa's property. That is the ONLY reason why I "own" some land in Hilo.
Well it does not surprise me that the "state" of Hawai'i is trying to BAN HAWAIIANS FROM OUR NATION'S CAPITOL. Yes I am still a registered Republican and I do NOT care what others think of me. I ONLY care what my kupuna (as in those who fed/raised/housed/took care of me) think of me. This current move by the Department of Land and Natural Resources epitomizes what the "state" of Hawai'i and the Feds want for us. That is... they want to get rid of us. THAT INCLUDES ME since I am Hawaiian too.
Anyway the Department of Land and Natural Resources which has NO jurisdiction in the Hawaiian Kingdom is slowly trying to BAN US FROM OUR OWN LAND. This should piss off every Hawaiian out there as in Hawaiian by ethnicity and/or nationality. That includes my cousin Paul DeSilva who is Portuguese by ethnicity and Hawaiian by nationality. This includes ALL Hawaiians who should be PISSED OFF because if they do this to US... IMAGINE WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND/OR PLAN TO DO TO OUR KEIKI.

Here is info about their public hearings courtesy of Ehu Cardwell of the Koani Foundation. BTW I love it how blunt he can be and hits the nail on the head without insulting Haole people since he like me is Haole too. This is courtesy of him:
Department Of Land & Natural Resources (DLNR) will hold public hearings on proposed new rules for 'Iolani Palace.
The rules are an attempt to banish the Hawaiian Kingdom from the grounds and prevent anyone from claiming the Palace as an active seat of government in the future.
If successful, DLNR would be able to assert force of law to ensure "museum" status for 'Iolani Palace.
It is vital for all concerned citizens of Hawai'i to attend one of the hearings.
Let them know DLNR does not speak for you nor need to "protect" 'Iolani Palace from Hawaiians.

Our King Kalakaua knew exactly what He was doing when He put this Palace here !! Some say at the cost of His very life. This building speaks LOUDLY over the voices of all these Kingdom Reformers. Loud and clear !!! What was the Abercrombie Inauguration but a bold- faced effort to silence this Building and King David Kalakaua ???

this is so terribly hewa. I was there when SOndra Grace house was bulldozed, and also saw the horrible arrests at mana. It was just so absolutely distressing, upsetting. Keiki weeping, screaming for their tutus, it was absolutely horrible. I was a lot younger then. I remember being very angry and makauu.Kekuni Blaisdail was there at that time. I remember how strong and calm he was. I had never seen national guard before. I got over that, by the time they were threateneing us with guns in our faces over the SF. Now I know its ok to stand up and resist. THese pics are very upsetting. U'e U'e. Mahalo to the ones over there that are brave. We too stand strong here. THis must stop how dare they ever lay a hand on unarmed kupuna so amazingly hewa. We need to all be together and stop fighting over things. pololei.

I love it! Thank you cousin Terry for being so outspoken to our Rights as Hawaiians. It's just to bad that we fight amongs eachother for getting back our lands,Hawaiians againgst Hawaiians thats how they'll get rid of us. We need to as a whole come together and unite we will make a difference. Until then we will allways be fighting eachother just how DLNR/haoles/non hawaiians want it. I will forever stand Strong as a HAWAIIAN. No haole can ever understand that.
