I read the article in the Honolulu Advertiser on Makana serenades APEC leaders with Pro-Occupy protest song. On November 19th 2011 at the University of Hawaii Maui college I and other Hawaiian studies students were able to participate in a Pow wow. Our Oli papa open the event with chants that we learned throughout the semester. This was the first event that our oli papa chanted at outside of class. It was a very humbling experience to chant with my other classmates and feel the Mana grow with every chant that we chanted.
