It's time to use the correct words and not the bogus terms.

Food for thought: How about we eliminate the word for sovereignty in our arguments. We are sovereign and our movement is national. We are not indigenous we are nationals of our country. Do the British say the Anglo-Saxons are indigenous people to their country? Why accept a racist subjugating terminology of who we are? Why comply to their ethnocentric definitions? Are we to accept the western terminology of who we are?

It's like when a mother gives birth to her baby and… Continue

PROTECTING THE LAND, PROTECTING THE PEOPLE ON "VOICES OF TRUTH"

Mahalo to all who turned out to support Molokai residents this past week in their fight against outrageous water rate increases.

Their situation, like so much of what goes on in Hawai`i, is a result of foreign multi-national companies being allowed to control land and resources and then putting profits over people.…

Kokua Ka Po'e Molokai!

A point of argument is that the state inherited this unwarranted boondoggle from the territory of Hawaii which allowed this monopoly of the island and a violation of anti-trust laws. The State conveniently overlooked the obligation of the original Ranch owner which subsequent owners inherited by purchasing the properties en total. Maui county glossed over its responsibility, collected county taxes from the Molokai people and fed its coffers to maintain the island of Maui forgetting its other… Continue

HAWAI`I NATIONAL SPEAKS OUT ON THE MOLOKAI WATER RATE INCREASE

It seems once again the state wishes to victimize the Molokai people by penalizing them instead of Molokai Ranch.

How is it that the state will bend over backwards for the Aloha Airlines employees but won't give the same consideration to the Molokai people.

It is the state's fault that it gave Molokai Ranch so much control on that island and allowed it to monopolize that…

Their laws are not our laws

Aloha nā kupa o Hawai'i nei,

Kēia ko'u mana'o wale nō:

Just as the so-called annexation of Hawai‘i by joint resolution of the U.S. Congress was their own domestic law, whatever laws they create are their laws, not our laws. We are not bound by foreign laws, including U.S. laws.

Even in the unlikely event the Akaka bill becomes U.S. law, it still is their law not ours, and we are not bound by it. But it would show once again, the blatant disregard of the U.S.… Continue
