My Dear Fellow Hawaiian

We need to all agree on Two Things (To Start)

1 - We Agree that Sovereignty means 'A Truly Independent Nation' - No one else controlling our destiny (Just OURSELVES)

2 - We Agree that we will abide by what the 'Majority' of our people decide.

IF WE CAN ALL AGREE ON THESE TWO BASIC THINGS - WE ARE GOOD TO GO!

So How's about it?

We have a chance to bring all of our sovereign groups together, as one, Throw out your ego, and let's all work together - We have a historic opportunity here to become 'ONE NATION'

If you prefer to be 'American' that's cool, but don't get in the way of us being 'Hawaiian'

Kupa'a Kakou!

Aloha.

My mana'o is that is an educational process to educate ourselves of our own history. The downfall of Westerners, they kept paperwork/documentation such as the Ku'e Petition and other events that led up to and after the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy.

Today, I'm just as confused, but a bit more akamai. I went to college, still there with doctorate and took our history and wrote about it - Native Hawaiians, Academic Achievment and Ethnic Identity. Took off and will be back soon next semester. It took me a long time to get there for doctorate thus made me more humble to recognize our struggles will be nearing the end.

On the other hand, AKAKA BILL - Does it really benefit all kanaka maoli. No it doesn't, then you have the U.S. occupation. If we go AKAKA, what do we get -what they give us. Why not write what we want - EVERTHING without U.S. control.

I think we are not as divided, yet closer to self actualization that the path we chose will dictate our own future. If and when the time arise, we move as one unity stronger in numbers. We are more akamai and tired of them stealing our lands- younger and older alike - that is our common goal.

I do agree with terms stated above. Life would be easier if we all agreed.
