SHAKING IT IN HALEIWA!!!

Mahalo to Waialua Community Association for allowing AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND HOMELESS ALLIANCE to use their gym for outreach service. AHHA provides service (employment, housing, financial referrals, etc.) to houseless population on the Northshore, Oahu every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..

I work with great people who does outreach regardless if rain or shine. Our work never ends, however the smile on their faces keep us in touch with reality because…

AFFORDABLE HOUSING HOMELESS ALLIANCE IN HALEIWA

Aloha. I've volunteered since December 18, 2009 and finally became official under Americorp. Houseless in Hawaii is an issue in Haleiwa and throughout the State of Hawaii. In Haleiwa, my agency service more Kanaka Maoli than any other race. Rgardless, we are in flux and may have to relocate if we do not find another site. Please send a prayer to AKUA so we may remain in Haleiwa to service clients.

It's Time to Rock Out 2009!

It seems like the year has passed by quickly despite the challenges Kanaka Maoli faced daily. Whether its our 'aina, wai or our right to self determination, we must persist in the year 2010. Don't give up the ku'e that embraces us as a nation! Let the mana live on in the next year with new meanings while perpetuating our language and culture. BE KOOL AND STAY IN SCHOOL

It never seems to end. So much homework, yet never enough time to do other activities. Staying in school provides opportunity to be akamai and develop literacy skills pertinent to career choice. School provides information to be akamai and learn more about life itself.
