See if you can order online a Hawaiian Dictionary to help translate. I'm workign on one and asked some friends to kokua. Don't give up, just thinking the inoa should be longer.

Aloha,

Go to www.ulukau.org and click on Hawaiian Genealogy indexes. Search married records for last name Makaena or other po'e who married into yours.

You can also search the Hawaiian newspaper and enter name after clicking on huli. The name you are looking for will be highlighted in yellow.

I aksed another friend if he recognize name on Moloka'i. I'm wondering if it supppose to be longer - the last name. Seems short.
