Opressed... imprisoned compressed with
a society that questions
your own intelliegence
your elegance
and why your skin
is so sunkissed
with bliss and the sweetness
of something unseen
so beautiful such as a queen
untouched and still gleams
held together
bonded and still strong
it can't be long
till someone hears our cries
begging

still theyre surrounding
asking how - why?
Faces that stare at me still so blank
dispondent and mislead
still their mistake
intrigued by a stranger
a smile
was it all worthwhile
maybe it was something I said
something about you....
something about me...
maybe it was the unspoken defeat
Obessed
and confessed
with the way that we dress
what they told me to say
Im still waiting for the rest of my heart
to be spoken for
stolen away...
The people around me
pretend that they are close to me
but what they don't see
is that our hustle was taught to me
by indigenous people who live life
in equality
passed down in our generations
respecting
our fallen ancestors
the ones before us
God's first creations
deserving our rememberance
for this life that we live
living thru us
we continue to give
perpetuation and loyalty
bow down cuz youre dealing with Hawaiian royalty...
