Aloha Al, thank you so much for your comment. To answer your question, I am already taking 'ukulele lessons and I have been playing for about 8 months now. I have two wonderful 'ukulele teachers. My 'ukulele teachers are: Herb Ohta, Jr and Jody Kamisato.

aloha e Kalimahana,
Mahalo for adding your name to our petition against the Akaka Bill. When we get a larger group...I will send to all signees and we can then...send to Akaka, Inouye, Hirono, and Abercrombie. Recently I went to a "coming out party" for Abercrombie, as he will be running for Governor. After he spoke, I went up to him and asked him a question. I said, it is a very simple yes or no question. I asked him..."Are you FOR or AGAINST the Akaka Bill?" He said..."I'm FOR it." I then said..."THEN....I'm against you!" and left the premises. He also said in his speech to mostly non-kanaka maoli (Japanese, Filipino, and haoles)..."Since the Supreme Court has allowed the State to NOW sell ceded lands...it will provide a "revenue stream" for Hawaii. EVERYONE except the Hawaiians in the room cheered. We all walked out. Shame on him...and everyone in the room.

mahalo for your support.
Donna

Aloha e Brudda Kalimahana!

I grew up in Nanakuli small kid time, back in the 60's. We used to live next to the Koko ohana next to the highway a little past Hakimo Road. My sister Carolyn and I walked to Nanaikapono elementary school back then. We walked the train track makai side of the highway. Was nice back then with plenty kiawe along the beach. Last time I went Nanakuli not so much kiawe, but good to see still get plenty maoli. Imua Maoli!
