La'au- ma lalo o ka lani po (La'au- under the night sky)

La'au- ma lalo o ka lani po (La'au- under the night sky)

Thursday 1-8-09

The Molokai Dispatch

“It was my cousin Jenny who instilled in me the knowledge that to best understand the mana of a place, you needed to sleep under the stars. In this way the place would begin to speak to you and reveal itself.”

It is usually in the late hours, long after darkness has filled the night sky, that we are revealed those things that are deepest. It is in the quiet that we are… Continue

Attractive from afar - Winning candidates weren’t all tops in their home districts

By CHRIS HAMILTON, Staff Writer

POSTED: November 14, 2008

The Maui News

WAILUKU - Results of the 2008 election in Maui County could reinvigorate debate over the county's residency districts versus having full district representation on legislative bodies.

In Maui County Council races, voters sent back to office every incumbent and two former council members. But three successful candidates might not have won if they were relying only on the voters in the… Continue

Aloha JoshyBoy:

Keep up the good work and mahalo for all you do for Molokai. Have a great weekend and enjoy yourself. Keep pushing for eminent domain of Molokai Ranch and try to get Monsanto off the island; they will ruin your agriculture and husbandry on your island. Get Maui county to move their okole and have the ranch pay for improvement of the water system. My prayers are for all of you and for your success. My love to all of my 'ohana on that island.
