Aloha,

I spoke to your father way back in March. I have your address to drop off sauces made by my company. Let me know if your dad is back in town from Japan. I know he is very busy too.

Aloha.

Are you related to Moon Kauakahi. I'm thinking this is the same ohana in Moloaa and Wainiha. I'm trying to think back if an aunt married a Kauakahi or already related. I've been pondering this for a week, perhaps you can he;p me answer if there was a Kawika Kauakahi who married Keokiana hanau Kawailani or hanai in 1864. I'm sure as Ku Ching mentioned - we are related, just tying in the tutu.

My grandmother Jennie Kanei is from Wainiha and married my grandfather, Samuel Namakaeha.

Aloha just saw your comment about Uncle Ables video. The road to Kawa`a is between the 58 and 59 mile marker, off the highway between Na`alehu and Pahala. It is a rough road, cars can make it in, but you got to go slow. If you are not confident just walk em. It is probably less then a mile to the beach. Uncle has been living down by the Kalo patch. But if you see anybody by the House with the flag on it, talk story and they will give you the scoops on where he is, and what is going on. We made that video over two years ago, and the response has been good.

Any more questions I can help with, I will be glad to.
Aloha David

Hoku,

Very interesting. At least we've been able to go back to a "common" island - Kaua'i - where if we go back far enough in time - we will be related in one way or another.

That we may also have a "name/ancestor" in common is also very interesting.

Mahalo.
