Mahalo for joining this group. Genealogy research has been a topic on my mind recently and I thought it would be cool to make a group to discuss this. I know for a lot of Hawaiians its difficult to learn how to research these records to trace their ancestry. Also, from being on myspace I notice there are a lot of Native Hawaiians in the states that have lost connections to their extended ohana here in the islands. I think this online forums would be a great way to re-establish those connections.
