Anybody know the Hawaiian name for Hawaiian seagrass Halophila hawaiiana? It is also listed as Halophila ovalis ssp. hawaiiana (Doty & B.C. Stone) den Hartog. Given how widespread it is in places such as Maunalua Bay, you would think it has an inoa Hawaii... I recall how long it took to find the inoa Hawaii for Cressa truxillensis. Anybody know the name for that one? I found it in the diary of a botanist visiting Moloka'i in the 1800's.
