The Congress of the United States of America recognized Kamehameha III's government on December 19, 1842.
Great Britain recognized Kamehameha III's government on April 1, 1843.
France recognized Kamehameha III's government on November 8, 1843.
The following is the evidence as posted in the POLYNESIAN newspaper dated July 20, 1844:
