at a young age.....i remembe my filipino daddy working high up on the Roofs at the "Menehene Shore" Resort in Kihei in the early 1960's......as a construction worker.....my mamakahili would park across "Maui Lu" in the parking lot (now the whale santurary) and we would wait until my daddy got of work.
almost 50 yrs. ago and today this same place is crowded with heavy shore to shore development, the Wind (makani) is so STRONG...that today the sand is totally blown onto the street across and the
sand is building along the roadway and into the new developement buildings.....this the nature of Ke Akua and this development is suffering from the wind storms in kihei.....and more to come...watch!!!
