i was told a few days ago....that the HULA...... is a Native Hawaiian Kanaka Maoli Ancestrial DANCE,
there were a picture of a beautiful foreign women holding her hand up to the sky
dressed in the kahiko style of our Royal Kingdom Ancesters of Story Telling in our Ancient Traditional time of our Royal Kingdom Ancesters
far as i am concered....that was spoken by my living kupuna kahiko of Maui Nui.......that the HULA in NOT a Native Hawaiian Kanaka Maoli Traditional Cultural Ancient Dance, period~~~
1). for only real strong men danced the kahiko (ancient traditonal kanaka maoli dance),
2). the women was forbidden to dance.....no if butts and of whats,
3). today we have more MAHU's (men wanna be a women).....teachers, kumus, students
4). the true way of our Royal Kingdom style of the Ancestrial Dance is no longer being taught today
5) the Hula is the "ENTERTAINMENT" for the TOURIST american GREED, hummmmm??????...auwe!
