I stepped away from Maoliworld for a few months...regrouping thoughts of mine. For this moment I am lost for words on what to say as it seems there is so much to do since my step outside of Maoliworld. I had initially put some thoughts together of the HOW TO COME TOGETHER IN UNITY list to put together for a forum discussion all the while as I said this last, I was told (felt by discouragement) by another member they were at work with these thoughts and would post them here. So, in giving honor for work his/their group and their HOW TO UNITE, I left in assurance I would just wait for the postings and provide my mana'o for it in a forum discussion.
To my dismay my stepping away for a few months to take care of my nonprofit issues and our Naihe Reunion in Hilo this coming July, there is nothing posted.
As I write my thoughts now, it seems that in these last few months MUCH has changed in the state's government's way of doing business for Native Hawaiians. The threat of OHA now being separated from the State of Hawaii's operational GENERAL fund is a freakin' BIGGY.
Now OHA must meet the needs of koko through the funding they have left as Linda Lingle is saying in her action, "Ah dey get enough from us forget 'em and have dey kine take care of dey kine." Like OMG (best choice of words other than WTF!) you just gonna throw it out like that? Baby and Bathwater at the same time? OMG.....wait a minute this picture does not look right from where I stand. No more funding coming out of the GENERAL FUND because OHA has to take care of "da hawaiians" with what they got in their bank accounts? I say koko is not Malakas...that's a nice way of saying in Greek "Stupid". OMG!!!
Wait now, the GENERAL FUND is provided by funding civil service departments - services for the people of hawaii whether koko or not. Okay that's simple to understand. And so OHA is to take care of koko only. Okay that's simplet to understand. HOWEVER!!!! IF OHA ELECTIONS CAN BE VOTED BY KOKO AND NON KOKO THEN BY GOLLY GIVE US SOME OF THAT GENERAL FUND MONIES TO TAKE CARE OF THE PERCENTAGE OF NON KOKO WHO CAN VOTE FOR TRUSTEES......MALAKAS!!!
I AS KOKO DO NOT HAVE MALAKAS WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD....OH MY GOD!
So now what do they have up their sleeves? Let's see, if the "whatever version" of the Akaka Bill goes through what happens to OHA?
AND....state gives up also with OHA funding, the budget of the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation.
HEY I NOT MALAKAS!!! I like DLNR GIVEN BACK TO KOKO TOO ALONG WITH OHA - attached with that the BOC...Now you talking fair game here...OMG!
So what's your thoughts on this anyone? How does the list to unite work now from what DEY dealing out to us koko?
