I would like to have worked for Saul Alinsky and then get fired within moments of meeting him.  It took years to understand my life after the Taylor Camp and Valley House Hippie years and my resistance to drugs, so thus, an estrange affair with the naked truth.  Unlike most hippie-student, I had a professor named Jim Dator that gave me the opportunity to know Saul Alinsky and Cesar Chavez.  During my years (1969-1971) I did not know at that time that the fevor around me actually came from Saul Alinsky's energies. "Rules for Radicals" A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals by Saul Alinsky brought meaning to my activities as it is doing today across the American Continent. Jim gave me an opportunity to explore and experience both a time in my life and text pre 911.

After 911, I met Raul Rios (unfriend) that brought Jose Montoya and the Royal Chicano Air Force into my life and much of what I see happening today are more than just text.  I hosted the Montoya's and their affiliates in Waianae. I enjoyed the indebth knowledge I had gained.  For I am able to compare and step into places of understanding as to why things are the way they are because of this meetings.  Joshua Rios is a little child that was consumated in my home and has a place in my heart today. With the help of Chicanos I was able to create a Mural of native Hawaiian women surfing.  And to understand Fred Maisel-Saul Alinsky and the plight of mixture, that will take many life times to understand all swirled around me in post 911.

I am writing this notions because of the crittical mass of confusion to data mining all things and lead the way to where? Liquid Polynesia? Dis/connect relationships between islands and their continental relationships?  Not sure!

In keeping things into prospective one is reading "The Toynbee-Ikeda Dialogue" where man himself must choose his pathway. I choose not to participate in the violence to come.  But, that doesn't mean I let the male side of things demean my person to gain access to power over my ancestor's land and spirit.

Happy Independence Day Mexico!

  • I posted my disagreement with Pono Kealoha and immediately within seconds Collins reposted too.

I recently met my dear friend on Sept 5, 2010 for one of the many things that were in conversation was Henry Pa. In Mexico Henry Pa's legacy lives on, I believe that is the energy we connected by. This is the celebration of the dead period and our Makahiki too, so on this note I say that we are fortunate to have had an energy connection.
  • My post disappeared. Will try again. I live in "Royal Chicano" territory - a Spanish village hundreds of years old. It is almost like old Kauai here spread out over 100s of square miles. In 1967, La Raza went nuts, took over the courthouse and a Forest Service camp ground. It is the hub of radical resistance, but now the kids are mostly gone. The big gates are going up at the hobby ranches. Multi million dollar homes are being built in high priced subdivisions - all gated. Water rights are being messed with by developers. Those kind of places used to be victims of spontaneous combustion on a regular basis. But things are calmer here now. I see the future of the area being comprised of rich people who have huge homes being waited on by locals. Education is so conveniently poor in the US - the developers (most from Texas or CA) think everybody is a Mexican - like a convenient labor force. Most of the Spanish families have been in this area for hundreds of years. Too bad the tradition of the land grants and communal property was abolished, land stolen, a long time ago.
