Aloha kakou ma Maoliworld nei:
Mahalo for your testimonies of support for my appointment to a second term on the Board of Land and Natural Resources. Although I got quite a grilling from Senator Hee over Kahana evictions and sales of ceded lands (none of which I had done as land board member) two weeks ago, when the time came for the vote passing me through the committee, it was unanimous support of the committee: four present, three excused.
Now my appointment will go before the full senate, but with a supportive passage through WTL, it is likely to go smoothly.
No laila, mahalo hou a nui no na leo kakoo, oukou i hoouna a'e ai!
So, big mahalo again for the supporting testimony you guys sent!

You are so humble that you do not even post any links so IMHO I am not at all surprised. Some people scare me with their ideology, lack of humility, and/or tendency to try to suck the life out of the land though... and I'm sure that I am not the only one to state this or even think this... but I am sooooo relieved that you're on the board.
Very dedicated to protecting our 'aina! By far, many po'e get into office and forget where they come from. Often politics corrupt the very person that suppose to represent the po'e who nominated or elected him/her into office. We humbly ask that Akua guide Dr. Gon.
Ma mua o keia me kela aha BLNR, ua ku au ma mua o ko Liliuokalani kii e noi haahaa no ko ka moi wahine alakai mai i aʻu, no ka pono o ka aina a me ka lahui Hawaii.
Before each BLNR meeting I stop at Liliʻuokalani's statue to ask humbly for the Queen's guidance for the good of the land and the people.
Congratulations!!! If you survive the full senate, will you be able to vote on the Mauna Kea issue? I sure hope so because we need Kanaka Maoli mana'o on the Board especially regarding this important issue.
