  • Difficult day, through the graces of asking questions, and about Kamaile Academy, I was able to narrow the scope down. RTTT is testing out for a diploma, and I checked today if testing out is happening. The answer is yes! Our students need Algebra II to graduate starting 2011 that means (guessing) Kamaile Academy will only go up to 10th grade and throw the kids over the pali. Students also needs 24 credits in order to graduate. In addition to, they also have to have a senior project.

The best thing that males from Waianae should do is to receive a diploma, however, that's almost not plausible from 2011. Why? Because they don't have the means to do Algebra II and I pray that I am wrong.

The key situation is for Waianae males to join the Union and they can't unless they have a diploma.

Kamehameha Schools specifically Pat Holmes and Koa fired me five years ago, two years later they did away with the entire Adult education. A month ago they brought back CBHSDP to the Nanakuli Community, but not the Basic. I should know tonight (hopefully) how many students are falling through the cracks between 4140 and CBHSDP. If we had Basic then our bases are covered in Nanakuli from Pre-K to CBHSDP. If not then we are looking and I am guessing a 100+ dead end drop outs per year adding to the already existing poverty.

Glad you are posting any information good, bad, or ugly--we need understanding quickly, if not, Kamaile Academy will be adding to the mix of 'drop outs'. Not only do students have to do a senior project, they have to pass Algebra II and gain 24 credits.

I co teach with the best teachers when I sub at certain schools and it's plausible to teach the youngsters in Waianae Algebra II. Had I not accidentally happen upon this great teachers, I would never believe that it is possible.

But, at this time their are no resources, trained teachers, and human compassion for Kamaile Academy. The children are just a cash crop for RTTT, pension funds, and the state's retirement system for a few employees.

So the question is how do we get a diploma as oppose to a certificate into the hands of our children?

About Neil, I came into being good friends with him when Ben ran for governor--post John Waihe'e. This was through Charlie Toguchi. But, more specifically, I knew of him when the lines were drawn between support of Vietnam and against the war. Neil was pretty much way out there during the war and is actually hated by many patriot people because of his protest against the war.

I will not deny that I favor Neil over Aiona any day, any place, anyway. He is most feared because he is smart and he listeneds to people. I had 30 seconds of his time before the election and boy did I use every second of it. But, who knows--I'm not sure if it made a difference to what I wanted. I had a talk about that with Pono and Tane. I didn't even look up at either one of them for their reaction, just quickly changed the subject.

On Nov 10, Glenn Kila's will was broken by some Parents and he resigned. I spoke to him at that time and read his body language. He has a gage order on him. Last night, he wasn't at the meeting and the Ho'okako'o Corporation Board picked his bones clean in front the whole Kamaile community. I think this Thursday, forgot what day Keith Vieira is going poke at Glenn Kila infront of all the students to be sure they understand what dead is dead.

The manner in which Kamehameha Schools went after Glenn Kila is no different from when Roland Tharp master minded throwing off the hill 500 (conservative number) Na Kanaka children off the hill. It's a cool kilo game.

If you are asking me to choose up or down for or against Neil--and not to soft pedal my reasoning, I've been a democrate since I was 8 years old. That's how long ago I have made my decision. As for the Republicans--your preference--they participated in the overthrow of Liliu.

But, I agree with you Neil should be over the Capital not the Palace. I believe this is CNHA and Oahu Hawaiian Civic Club and other Na Kanaka entities that are in favor of this ceremony.

As you sense we are a bit burn't out, but I will keep checking, I should have asked Robert last night.

I just called Pono, he was in the middle of tapping. He too, doesn't know yet. What I do know sometimes if they are planning anything it's usually a call out and everybody shows up and hop on board with almost no planning. It's because everyone is trying to work and raise families. I will try again tonight. Mahalo for asking
  • Not sure but will check. Sounds like a good idea. I think he would welcome the idea. I was at a Kamaile Academy meeting tonight and Ray Soon was with Neil, so CNHA there in the office with bogus definitions. We should see a lot of forclosures on DHHL, specifically in Waianae. The military is planning for a martial law for Waianae and Ray needs to hand our heads on a silver platter to the Commander in Chief.
    • Hi Kaohi.

I know that you are good friends with Neil. I do not like the guy AT ALL.

I have already asked Pono... he has not responded yet.

I asked Pomai... he may show up with his flags. I am showing up. Would like to meet up with others who do plan to show up.

As you already know your friend Neil accepted thousands of dollars from BAE. I consider him to be one of THE most dangerous men in Hawai'i.

I have been reading ALL of your posts esp about Kamaile. Reposted a few at my Facebook as well because some things that you post/ed connect the dots that have not been fully disclosed so appreciate that you shared them here. I have been reading your posts so please continue.

If you hear anything about a protest on December 6th please let me know.

      E malama polo.
