  They don’t have any rights to the entirety of America either, but they’ll never give that back.
  
  I’ve never understood why so many Kanaka Maoli oppose and prefer to stay separated from our Native American brothers and sisters.
  
  Our history isn’t that different in relation to the illegal occupations done to both our peoples by the US.
  
  I’ve worked to educate plenty of native Americans to exactly what’s happened to us, but I feel like I’m the only one.
  
  Native Americans are few, and our people even fewer. It makes no sense to push ourselves into the smallest box possible.
