There is another large planned event for the defense of our iwi kupuna on Thursday February 17 at 6:30 am at Kawaiaha'o Church.
I've been noticing many other groups organizing for this day. I was able to give public testimony at the last Kawaiaha'o Church meeting in opposition of the desecration of our iwi kupuna - along with many others. The officials at Kawaiaha'o are blatantly ignoring the overwhelming number of requests to cease their continued devastation of our ancestors.

Aloha Amelia...is there are gathering of protest this morning at the church? If I am reading this right there is...well know this here on Maui we have been moved to have Fallen Chiefs ceremony at the heiau. There are no coincident in this. The Kapuna kahiko are coming thru to assist us with all that we are facing, so you know what that mean we going be okay. I strongly recommend that someone call forward the kupuna kahiko to the iwi at Kawaihao and have them come to assist. We can not do anything with out them but they cant come unless we ask them...it is simple stand there and ask them that's all. It is the revitalizing of our spiritual practices that must happen as well and here is perfect place to start...
