Aloha  kakou, he Hawaii au,

The 4th of July is a day where most believe they are celebrating freedom. We of he Hawaii au, are sadden but are fortunate for in our despair we know truth for on this very day in 1894 the ancestors of a Independent "Sovereign Country", not a nation or state, began to wear shackles and leg chains not because the lack or opportunity or prosperity but because the choice of identity was stolen just as was the Hawaiian Kingdom.

But those who celebrate do not feel the tightness of the shackles and the weight of the chains for they have been indoctrinated to believe the neck shackles and leg irons are decorative necklaces and bracelets. For the lack of my discriminative intellect, I compare this restriction as that of the Chinese bonding the feet of their children so to restrict normal growth. While the majority of Americans and their newly adopted native Hawaiians frolic in parades and sunshine, we Hawaiian Nationals know better because of the sacrifice of our ancestors before us. They knew then so that we know now .

On the his dying bed King Kamehameha the Great, spoke , " E na'I wale no'oukou I ku'u pono a'ole pau", the righteousness is not finish;

Strive indeed, all of you,
Toward the good I've done, boundless
Toward the solid foundation of Hawai'i
The land shall live on through righteousness

(Chorus - Ka Na'i Aupuni)

King Kamehameha gave the people the blueprint of a Country but maintaining its foundation is our kuleana.

I am also attaching a kahea from Braddah Palani  to assist in a celebration  of Queen Liliu'okalani Mural by artist John Hina on July 7th at 5:00 to7:00 PM alongside Kapalama Canal adjacent to Honolulu Community College at Dillingham Blvd. and Kokea Street. It is rumored that Ambercromie will be in attendance. At first I was skeptical about attending anything with Ambercromie but we must take advantage of any opportunity of "free photo-op" as do politicians. Promoting our own Hawaiian Independence program is cost prohibitive with 'Insurance control regulations: We must stand in Ambercromie face and make him uncomfortable. If we just stay home, Ambercromie will remain comfortable in his conquest of the Hawaiian Nation.

E ala e:

July 6 , Wednesday - signing of SB1520 at 2:00 PM. We will meet at Queen Liliu'okalani's statue at 12:00 NOON to kuka.

July 7, Thursday - Celebration of Queen Liliu'okalani Mural with Palani Vaugh singing Kaulana Na Pua end Palani's new song, "How Long Must Hawaiians Wait For a Century of Injustice to Terminate?"
5 to 7 PM at Kapalama Canal, Dillingham Blvd./Kokea Street (Honolulu Community College)

Mahalo nui loa e Pilipo for your commitment to upholding the 'ea our Nation as much as you do -

And mahalo nui again for being at Mauna'ala last Monday  -     I didn't  see, or hear any of the "shoot takes", but I trust the camera-man and the producers to be sure that the 2 of you and the "FREE HAWAI'I" signs were clearly visible-

I have learned that Governor Abercrombie is expected to be there -

Some people may not want to be there because of Abercrobie's intent to sign the state's version of the Akaka Bill the day before -

However, I believe it is more important that we be there to HONOR & STAND  &  SPEAK for Queen Lili'uokalani, who cannot -

I believe Governor Abercrombie will feel more uncomfortable, than I, when I sing "Kaulana Na Pua" in medley with a song I wrote last year that I entitled,  "How Long Must We Hawaiians Wait For A Century Of Injustice To Terminate?" -

The more of us there, the better -

I e-mailed an invitation also to Henriy Noa & Alex Luka to please come with the Re-Instated legislative members -

I am hopeful that Leon will be well enough to be there as well -

Mana'o nui loa for your strength and courage,
Palani

Thursday, July 7, 5-7P - Celebratiom Of Queen Lili'uokalani Mural Re- "Water Writes" By Grafitti Artist John "Prime" Hina

Aloha Kakou -

I amsending this e-mail so that you can all see the mural I've been writing to you about, painted by young Hawaiian grafitti-artist, John "Prime" Gina -    It is located along side Kapalama Stream on the Honolulu Community College Campus -       If you drive makai i mauls along either side of Kapalama Stream, it will be on your right-hand side -    You cannot miss it!   It's HUGE!

I am attaching pic views of the mural taken from my camera, and I am also attaching a pic of the poster which is being put up at various locations to advertise the "Water Writes Hawai'i" Unveiling -

Tell me what you think and how our Hawaiian National Government should participate -         It would be wonderful to see our people waving our "Ka Hae Hawai'i" -         I am working to have our "Hawai'i Royal Order Of Guards" present there, but the Commander Iosepa Madela has been in the hospital  -     So, will have to wait and see -     My "King's Own" musicians may nor be able to perform with me due to other obligations but will try to work it out with substitute musical back-up -

Anyway, it is not my production, but it would wonderful for our Hawaiian Nationals to be there -

There should be media-coverage -

Please let me know your mana'o -

Malama e,
Palani Vaughan
