Hawaiian advocate Frenchy Desoto's memorial services set

MILILANI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Services have beet set for the late Frenchy Desoto, who passed away a little over a week ago.

Visitation is scheduled for this Wednesday, February 2nd, beginning at 5 p.m., at the Mililani Mortuary. Services start at 6:30 p.m.

If you can't make it, another service will take place the next day, at 8 a.m., with a service at 11:30 a.m., followed by her burial at Mililani Memorial Park.

Desoto helped start and shape the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, or OHA.

She leaves behind a legacy as an outspoken advocate for Native Hawaiians, serving as the first chairperson of the OHA Board of Trustees when it was formed in 1980.
