A Hawaiian cultural festival is planned for this weekend in Boulder, Colo., as college football teams from Hawaii and Colorado compete.
Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle proclaimed this weekend as "Colorado Aloha Festival Days" in celebration of the three-day event from Friday to Saturday, surrounding Saturday's football game.
The festival features hula, ukulele, lei making and other workshops.
It also includes appearances by five-time Grammy Award winner Daniel Ho and Mauna Pohaku, who will perform with Hawaii dancers during the football game's halftime show.
The free festival is now in its third year.
Lingle says the festival provides a unique opportunity to share Hawaii's culture with the people of Colorado.

The Hawaiian Kingdom still exists; the U.S. has already recognized the Hawaiian Kingdom as a peer within the family of nations. There is no treaty of annexation; thus Hawaii is not part of the U.S. The U.S. needs to de-occupy our nation-state.
The U.S. is made up of what it made up. The S1011, known as the Akaka Bill is repugnant to the native Hawaiians and other nationals of our Kingdom. It's the continuance of the WASP racist Manifest Destiny doctrines. Take the Akaka Bill and shove it where the sun doesn't shine!
God Bless the Hawaiian Kingdom!!!

Along with the AKaKa BILL, take the Blood Quantum and shove that American Law where the sun don't shine and sing ALOHA OE.
Long Live The Hawaiian Kingdom, o Pomai
